Fashion preview: 5 trends that will be big this summer

by Célin RöserWhat does summer 2020 have to offer in terms of fashion? Good question! Today we're going to take a look into our crystal ball and tell you the coolest fashion trends for the coming season.

Trends come and go. And since the fashion world is incredibly fast-paced, it's easy to lose track of things. But no worry! We tell you which trends you can rely on in the near future. Fancy a look into the future?

1. Welcome back bralettes!

We already know bralettes as a cute alternative to a bra. But this summer, the bralettes are no longer hidden under tops, but presented alone - at least almost. To ensure that the look still looks high-quality, you combine it with a blazer and high-waisted trousers so that you don't show too much skin.

2. More radiant than the sun

In terms of colour, this season has been given a real makeover, whether it's bright pink, bold blue or fresh orange. Just wear a statement piece in a bang and keep the rest of the look understated. If that's not colorful enough for you, you can also combine an accessory in a matching complementary colour. These are the colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel, such as pink and green, or blue and orange. Try it!

3. Pimp my shoe!

Shoes that are also real gems ensure a very special appearance in summer. We're talking about heels decorated with sparkling chains. Good news for all anklet fans, because the accessory is already integrated here. We promise: This sexy trend takes every evening look to the next style level.

4. Like in the olden days

After our hair was adorned with all kinds of glittering little hair clips last summer, this year we're stepping on the brakes when it comes to glamorous hair accessories. Instead, the focus is on scarves that are worn in milkmaid style. This means: The scarf is simply folded into a triangle, the wide side is placed in the middle just behind the forehead and the ends are knotted under the hair. Like a milkmaid - only much more modern.

5. Pure nature!

The topic of sustainability is currently on everyone's lips. And that is also reflected in fashion. Natural materials in beige and white are very popular. Linen dresses, cotton tops and cashmere jackets have a place in our wardrobe this summer. And the best thing about it: In contrast to their synthetic colleagues, the airy fabrics don't make us sweat, even at 30 degrees.
