The woman floating in the water can be envied in the summer temperatures. It is shown how to move rhythmically in three trains.

Sulz-Glatt.She has only been dealing with the topic of water for about a year, says the artist Christine Reinckens. She is now exhibiting several work on this in the smooth water lock.

At first glance, they appear photographically."But the photo personalists would be reluctant to be compared to me," says the Hanoverian native. On a different water picture you can see a floating dog: head and tail still protrude from the water, in the mouth it transports a red object.Movement is also shown here.

Christine Reinkens painted six individual images from a woman who is in clear water in different poses up to the hip.It fits the parts together and you can see fascinated that they form a unit.Such strings and rhythms occur again and again. As she says, the artist tries to find a melody, matching the characters of her pictures.

Quiet and movement expresses the bed sheet with which a young woman has covered herself. In the picture next to it, the folding of the sheet acts like a waterfall.A woman sleeps on that.It is striking here: There is a red note on the floor. You can find it again in the picture with the title "Without words or messages" - in the middle.A message that the woman apparently is looking for can be found in vain on this.

The focus in the adjoining rooms is on a slightly different topic: this is more about social aspects.Where are people integrated socially? The artist concerns this question.

"People and things" is the title of the exhibition in the water lock, which will open on Saturday.Things are, for example, lined up shoes - high -heeled shoes for festive occasions, sports shoes and boots for work or even a fight. Some jump out of line, others fit harmoniously. In general, feet seem to fascinate the artist: she also takes up the topic that is almost continuous in the exhibition.

Christine Reinkens, born in 1962, studied art in Kassel. She received several prizes for her work, including the City of Kassel's cultural funding award. She has been exhibiting her pictures in Germany and abroad since 1987.

The exhibition "of humans and things" will be on Saturday, 8.July, opened in the Fürstensaal of the Cultural and Museum Center.Museum director Cajetan Schaub welcomed, the journalist Annette Rieger holds the introduction.
