Samantha Stosur and Shuai Zhang have won the women's doubles title at the 2021 US Open. The two veterans defeated Cori Gauff and Catherine McNally 6:3, 3:6 and 6:3.

Ten years after her biggest singles triumph, Samantha Stosur has struck again in New York City. The Australian won together with the Chinese Shuai Zhang in a very entertaining doubles final against Cori Gauff and Catherine McNally 6:3, 3:6 and 6:3. In 2055 Stosur had already been successful in doubles at the US Open, at that time with Lisa Raymond.
In each of the three sets, the eighth game became decisive. The two young Americans gave up their serve in the first and third round, and Stosur and Zhang in the second. In the end, a forehand return from Gauff sailed out. And the two veterans were allowed to cheer.
