The "golden grape" has a new owner. The Coburger Hotel, which belonged to the Barbara and Bernd Faith couple until the end of 2018 and has been operated by the Dormero chain since 2019, has been bought by the young entrepreneur Ben Dahlheim from Düsseldorf. This is important for the further development of the hotel because Ben Dahlheim is very closely linked to the Dormero chain: he is a member of the Dormero supervisory board and is considered a close confidante by Dormero owner Marcus Wöhrl.

But what exactly do the new ownership of the traditional hotel mean?"Ben Dahlheim helps us through the crisis through generous lease leases and will also tackle the renovation of the hotel in the coming year," explains Carl Gregor von Hollen, who is responsible for communication in the Berlin Dormero Center.

In order to be able to understand the actual importance of the new ownership structure, a little review is required: The couple believed that the hotel had sold the hotel to a private person from the Coburg area at the end of 2018, which did not want to appear publicly. This person again won Dormero as a new operator. At the beginning of Corona pandemic, however, there were discrepancies.Because in order to survive the crisis, Dormero negotiated nationwide with the respective owners of his hotel real estate about a temporary estate at the lease. These negotiations were crowned with success everywhere - just not at the Coburg location.

Owner "from your own family"

The ownership relationships are of course always important in terms of possible investments in the building.According to Tageblatt information, Dormero shied away larger investments as long as the house still belonged to the said private individual. But because now with Ben Dahlheim someone is "the new owner from his own family", the way seems to be clear to finally get started.Because at first glance.

At this point, Turgay Vural is now coming into play.He is the new manager at the Coburg Dormero location, and above all he should accompany the upcoming renovation. The goal is, the 45-year-old explains in an interview with the Tageblatt to modernize the house, but without the fact that the special charm of the "grape" is lost.He himself is enthusiastic about the traditional hotel and even says: "It was love at first glance!"But of course Turgay Vural also sees that something has to be done in some places. This affects both the visual design of many of the 68 rooms as well as the technical equipment. For example, a modern entertainment system, including a very large flat screen, is actually part of the Dormero standard everywhere. In Coburg there is no yet.Turgay Vural therefore says: "Only when all the expectations that our guests have at a Dormero hotel are actually fulfilled, we also go out offensive in Coburg with our brand outdoors in Coburg."

About the person: Why did Turgay Vural deliberately choose to lead the Dormero Hotel in Coburg?

Ein Düsseldorfer kauft die

The 45-year-old Turgay Vural has been the new hotel manager in the "Golden Traube" in Coburg since October."It was a stroke of luck that we could win it for our group," commented on Carl Gregor von Hollen, which is responsible for communication in the Dormero headquarters.

Turgay Vural can refer to an exciting curriculum vitae both privately and professionally. He was born in Germany, but when he was eight years old, his parents decided to return to their Turkish homeland.Turgay Vural completed the school and studied German studies in Istanbul, among other things. He has been living in Germany again since 2009.

Hotels in which he could already gain experience were in the Rhön, in Frankfurt and Heiligendamm. He, as he says, particularly shaped the time in the Ritz Carlton in Berlin. For him, the activity in a club Aldiana in Tunisia was also pioneering - because there he met his current wife, who originally comes from Kronach. This is exactly why Turgay Vural decidedly chose the new task in Coburg."The closeness to my wife's family was important to us!"Not least because Turgay Vural and his wife now have two little children.

The predecessor of Turgay Vural in Coburg, Andrea Titerall, has now taken over the management of the Dormero Hotel in Goslar.

Hotelhund Molly is now in Goslar

Hotel dog Molly also left the grape with her.Because the Darmero philosophy provides for a "pet" - as a sign of animal -friendliness.But replacement is already on the march or in the arrival: In the grape lobby there will be a terrarium with two lizards in the future.
