Veja launches new Urca sneakers from food waste

Veja sneakers from waste from the food industry

The sneakers bear the name "Urca" and are a revised, vegan version of the characteristic (already quite sustainable) V-12 leather trainer of the brand. They are made from vegan maize waste leather, which comes from organic farming, i.e. It is obtained from plants and other renewable agricultural, maritime and forestry materials. They have the feel of a waxed canvas and were made to 50 percent from waste from the food industry-these are Veja & APOs; s most environmentally friendly sneakers to date. What else?
