Sneakers are a long time coming

Kronach: A young woman from the city area filed a criminal complaint this week because she did not receive the shoes she had ordered. The victim bought a pair of NIKE sneakers worth 116 euros from an eBay seller and paid the purchase price via PayPal Friends. The shoes have not yet been delivered because contact with the seller has been lost. Since the payment form "PayPal-Friends" does not offer buyer protection, the injured party will probably be left with her financial loss.

Driving with alcohol caused an accident

Küps: A 51-year-old man from the Weißenbrunn area will probably have to do without his driver's license in the next few months. The suspect drove his minibus into the garden fence of a residential property on Traber Strasse around 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning and then fled. The accident driver left several vehicle parts and the front license plate number of his vehicle at the site of the damage. When a police patrol wanted to visit the man at home, he walked towards the patrol. The man was asked about the accident and admitted that he was the driver of the accident. When examining his ability to drive, it was found that the 51-year-old was under the influence of alcohol. A breath alcohol test carried out showed a value of 1.86 per thousand. The man's driver's license was secured. He then had to go to the hospital for a blood test. Damage to the garden fence was around 1000 euros. The damage to the accident vehicle is around 4,000 euros.
