Six testers, six pairs of shoes - these are the general conditions of the Skechers product test. In recent years, the models have been praised for comfort, looks, traction and weather resistance, among other things. Find out how the current styles from the USA are doing from our Golf Post product testers:

"Everything done right"

Pascal Jaksch, HCPI: 54, GC Oberhausen, Skechers Go Golf Max - Bolt:

"Anyone who is on the golf course regularly during the week and definitely more than one 18-hole round a day, knows exactly how your feet can smoke. Especially when you wear those clumsy cups that we are familiar with. They do fulfill but they are far from comfortable in their purpose - and even less pretty to look at - it's a good thing that Skechers has taken on exactly this problem.

I had the honor of testing the Skechers Go Golf Max - Bolt. These are available in three different color variants: grey/blue, black/red and my choice of blue/blue. I think the look alone puts most other golf shoes in the shade. Not to mention the comfort. But anyone who knows Skechers and has had the pleasure of wearing these shoes knows what I'm talking about. The light Ultra Flight midsole with cushioning and comfortable Goga Mat insole give you the feeling of walking on clouds. Yes, sounds like I copied it from the shoe description - but it fits. With this modern insole you really walk on clouds - even after hours without your feet hurting.

In addition, this shoe is also water-repellent - not waterproof! I would like to emphasize this again. So if you like to play from water-filled bunkers or water holes on the round, you should still play barefoot or with rubber boots. In all other scenarios, the feet actually stay dry, at least that's how it was for me.

Regarding the grip of the Skechers Go Golf Max Bolt shoes, it may not have spikes in that sense, but the shoe has a powerful slip resistance on its own thanks to the durable TPU outsole. Furthermore, the TPU outsole provides more elasticity and resistance to cold. Means: Even in winter, the feet are not so susceptible to cold from below.

And to make sure you don't slip and fall down the slope on the early bird lap in the morning dew, Skechers has made small "nubs" on the sole. They really do provide absolutely secure support so that you don't pirouette during a powerful golf swing - as long as you can do it. You also don't have to tighten all the "nubs" after five hits from the mat like in other shoes. Because these little pimples under the foot are one with the sole. Incidentally, these small knobs are the only reason why I don't integrate these shoes into everyday life and wear them everywhere. The feeling of walking on paved or asphalted paths is more like wearing soccer shoes.

After a few kilometers and even more turns, you can now and then pull the shoelaces a little tighter, and then everything is back to how it was at the beginning. That's not a negative point for me, it's just normal. Skechers did a really good job here. They have remained true to themselves in terms of wearing comfort and, as usual, give you the feeling of walking on clouds. What do you want to change there - true to the motto: "Never change a winning team."

Visually, they have gone a few steps further and developed further. They really did everything right with the Go Golf Max Bolt! Consequently, I can only recommend this shoe to anyone who visits more than just the range or the club restaurant on the golf course. If you look for mistakes in this shoe, you are clearly complaining at a high level. Full points."

"Feeling was incredibly good"

Manuela Nehls, HCPI: 30.4, Golfpark Bachgrund, Skechers Go Golf Max - Swing:

"I was waiting for the Skechers golf shoes full of anticipation and was really happy when I unpacked them. Light as a feather and a great design! The contrasting colored sole in particular looks really stylish. This was also confirmed to me by the fashion-conscious flight partners Of course, the question immediately arose where I got these great shoes from.

The wearing comfort was incredibly good, right from the first use on the 18-hole round they gave me good support - in the truest sense of the word. Comfortable, light and still a good guidance of the foot. A very important aspect for me, because I twist my ankle easily and the shoe should stabilize well.

Then came the many rainy days and the question of whether my feet would really stay dry. And the Skechers Go Golf Max Swing, which are water-repellent, didn't leave me out in the rain either! Even with a slightly deeper puddle on the pitch, they kept what they promise - the feet stayed dry and even a round in the rain is a nice game.

Skechers are good value for money, I will definitely buy another pair in the future. Simply because there are great colors and designs. In summary, I can say that the shoe fitted perfectly, looks great and I can only recommend it."

"My perfect summer shoe"

Meike Böhme, HCPI: 7.4, MGC Potsdam, Skechers Go Golf Max - Sport:

"I was delighted when I got the message from Golf Post that I had been selected as a product tester for the Skechers golf shoes. It was exactly the right time because my old golf shoes pinched and were uncomfortable, especially in summer temperatures.

I chose the Skechers Go Golf Max - Sport test model in a subtle light blue color tone, which looks more silver and allows for many possible combinations. The shoes are very well made and make a high-quality impression. When I first put them on, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to slip into the shoes. I find the elastic front panel (fixed, but elastic tongue) ingenious, which does not slip and therefore cannot press. If you have a slightly wider foot with size 39, the selected size 39.5 fits perfectly.

The first laps in summery temperatures were very pleasant. The shoes walk very well thanks to the cushioning and low weight. My back and legs were as fit after 18 holes as they were on the first tee. The sole has no spikes, but pronounced non-slip nubs for a secure footing. I was only able to test the water resistance to a limited extent, but wet rough was not a problem. Overall I am very happy with the ultra light Skechers - my perfect summer shoe."

"Absolute purchase recommendation"

SO. Hinrichsen, HCPI: 7.0, Golf Range Brunnthal, Skechers Go Golf Elite - Tour SL:

"Without any experience with the Skechers brand, I can say in advance that I am very positively surprised by the feel-good factor that the Elite Tour SL offers.

First of all about my feet – with the usual shoe size 44 and a slightly larger foot width, I think I belong to the average male. Accordingly, I ordered the size 44.5 in the shoe and it fits exactly like a sports shoe should - soft, tight on the side and a little room at the front - simply TOP!

The first try on felt extremely comfortable light and pleasant. The processing of the shoe is also in no way inferior to any other manufacturer. The Elite Tour SL actually mastered the first round of golf in the rain. The shoes still felt like slippers – light and supple on the foot. The support is also absolutely given, although in my personal case I have to say that I would definitely have liked a little more heel support via a firmer heel cap in the shoe. Otherwise, you have absolutely good grip in the shoe itself, both when walking and when teeing off, and even the rain couldn't harm my test shoe. After 4.5 hours of golf in the rain, I can assure you that the shoes are 100% waterproof/water-repellent.

After the eighth round of golf in the shoes, I have no choice but to actually say that the shoe is still comfortable, the stability in the shoe is still there and the quality of the shoe is not declining. From my point of view, an absolute buy recommendation."

"Adapt perfectly to the feet"

Beatrix Kraemer, HCPI: 27.7, GC Hammetweil, , Skechers Go Golf Skech-Air - Dos:

"I chose the Skechers Go Golf Skech Air Dos because I wanted leather shoes that I can wear all year round. I took my size using the Skechers size chart and the shoes arrived in four days, great service. I was skeptical at first about the size chart, but no problem, because the shoes fit perfectly, the length and width were just right.

The last few weeks I've been totally thrilled with the wearing comfort, no blisters, no pressure points and dry feet even in the heat. I have never had golf shoes that didn't pinch after the second day of wearing.

The shoes and Air Cooled Memory Foam sole adapt perfectly to the feet. Since it has rained a lot in the last few weeks, the water resistance test was not a problem either. There were enough puddles and water on the fairways. The shoes are tight and the feet and socks stay dry.

What I also like is that after four weeks the front of the shoes still hasn't cracked from buckling in the leather. The shoes remain white even after the umpteenth cleaning. I'm very happy about that, because clean shoes are a must. If you need new golf shoes I would highly recommend the Skechers Go Golf Skech Air Dos - great shoes."

"Really convinced of the shoe"

Fabian Braun, HCPI: 6.1, GC Gut Glinde, Skechers Go Golf Torque - Twist:

"After initial doubts, the Skechers Go Golf Torque Twist is a really great golf shoe. The shoe was too tight for me at the beginning due to its very narrow fit. However, this went away after the first round after the shoe widened a bit and The question of size was gone. My feet had a firm connection with the grass in every situation. Recently I didn't have any spikes underneath and was skeptical as to whether they would hinder me off the field in the clubhouse etc., but you hardly felt them.

After the first use (5x18 holes in three days) I was enthusiastic about the shoe. Very light and no blisters after almost 70km in three days. Also, I didn't sweat as much in the shoe as in others. Now some time has passed and the shoe still performs perfectly. Whether it was dry or wet, the shoe never got damp.

I'm a player who has a lot of ground traction and there's a lot of power going into the shoes. That's why shoes often don't last long. With the Skechers, on the other hand, I haven't seen any problems so far that they will give way somewhere, because other models did that on the sole after a while. The shoe is still very comfortable, especially thanks to the twist system, which I use to tighten or loosen up a few times on the round. I'm really impressed by the shoe and will definitely look at Skechers again the next time I buy shoes, especially because of the good price-performance ratio."
