Man: Infinite potential. The year is 1985. Leni Wolf sees the light of day. In her parents' living room, her mother slides a VHS cassette into the recorder: Jane Fonda Workout."Here we are. Ready to workout."Leni Wolf: "What happened to aerobics? I don't understand it either. It's a bit under "Ready? And head right, to the left, and down" Leni Wolf: "If you think back to those videos from back then, where they were dancing on a roof terrace in New York and also wearing such fancy outfits, you can see it more like a party."Good mood and motivationLeni Wolf gives the classic from back then a fresh cell treatment and calls it "Rave Aerobics", fitness training with a techno lifestyle - of course in the right outfit.Leni Wolf: "I'm wearing black leggings ". Then a pair of pink leg warmers. My sports shoes, which are beautifully cushioned, with such little clouds. Otherwise, I have a normal sports T-shirt under the Mickey Mouse sweater."Favorite accessories: terry cloth headband and wool leg warmers .Participant 1: "For me it's sport with e Lots of extras."Saturday midday, Cologne, center. The dance room of a gym: 100 square meters of wooden parquet, two walls are fully mirrored. A dozen women in their 30s participate in "rave aerobics." There are no men.Participant 1: "The attraction is the music, the attraction is Leni, who is always in a great mood and motivates.Leni Wolf: "I have an extremely high energy balance."Author: "Can you tell me demonstrate a very simple move?" Leni Wolf: "The aerobics march is super simple. That means: You just walk on the spot, i.e. march. But with aerobics, it's just like the videos with Jane Fonda back in the day. That you overdo it all and don't take yourself seriously. Then everything is taken along: the knees go up, you seesaw with your whole body. Then you go into some basic step like the step touch. So step to the side, tap, step to the side, step, touch, step, touch."Participant 1: "Doesn't feel like exercise and is totally in the mood. Afterwards I'm always in a good mood and have a clear head. Great."Missteps allowedAnd then it starts: "Rave Aerobics" on the floor in front of the mirrored wall. Leni Wolf dances, the participants follow. Many of them have no talent. ability is of secondary importance. Freestyle also means: missteps are allowed.Participant 2: "Power. It's like a party sometimes. That's cool, that's really good."Participant 3: "But from a certain point it's more dancing than sport."Participant 4: "I'll rest a bit and go out a bit tonight."Fitness with fun Factor first fitness, then party. Better still: fitness as a party. Today, fitness training is called a workout. Stomach, legs, bottom - the spectacle of self-optimization, sweating as an event. "Rave Aerobics" is fitness with a fun factor. And the tattooed forearms of Leni Wolf provides the statements: Leni Wolf: "I actually thought about putting the letters r, a, v, e on my four fingers. So far it's more cocktails, ice cream and burgers. And a bomb: the techno bomb. And the wolf: Leni Wolf."
