Children of primary school age can try out up to 14 sports on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Ransberg sports center, Heesstraße 82. This is made possible by the "Kids in Action" day of action, which the district sports association Viersen, the city of Viersen and the city sports association Viersen organize together with their clubs. The swimming pool at Ransberg can be used for the first time. The program runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition to well-known sports such as soccer or handball, the boys and girls can try American football, BMX cycling or taekwondo. These sports are represented at Kids in Action with exciting hands-on activities: American football, BMX, soccer, handball, hockey, judo, athletics, swimming (registration required, seahorse required), skating, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, gymnastics and volleyball.

Participation is free. The children should come in sportswear. You should also bring: indoor shoes and sports shoes for outside, drinks, swimming gear (if you want to go to the swimming pool) and a mouth and nose protector. Only one accompanying person is allowed per participating child. Access is based on the 3G rule with proof of vaccinated, recovered or tested people. Children under the age of 16 are considered tested. Any changes to the current Corona Protection Ordinance must also be taken into account. Participants are asked to inform themselves promptly on the website ksb-viersen.de.
Kids in Action is an event of the state project "Sportplatz Municipality - promote children's and youth sports in NRW".
