Autumn must-haves: I'm 1.58 m and these pieces are on my autumn wish list

Wool coats, colorful foliage, chai tea latte – my heart skips a beat when I think of my fall must-haves. In terms of fashion, everything between the (actual) start of the Oktoberfest and the first advent calendar door is my favorite season. I don't know about you, but I think my height of 1.58m is pretty good for chunky sweaters, cropped jeans, boots and so on.

Although I have to take my trousers to the tailor more often than others and I don't necessarily benefit from my fondness for flat shoes - but since I've been dressing myself, I've become quite aware of how to shop effectively and dress stylishly as a small woman can. Below, I show you my seven flattering fall must-haves and share my insights on which pieces suit me as a petite woman.

1. Fall must-have: tuck-in sweater

Since sweaters tend to be too big for me, I always consider before buying whether it can be tucked into the front of my trousers. If the pullover is knitted too thickly or too long, I have noticed that it optically shortens the legs.

2. Fall must-have: Jeans slightly longer than ankle length

When it comes to jeans, we little women are doing incredibly well this year. For years I ordered cropped jeans and ended up cutting them myself. Now, however, exactly this indefinable intermediate length is totally trendy and even optically lengthens the legs. My tip: Arket offers exactly these models for everyone under 1.62 meters.

3. Autumn must-have: chunky Chelsea boots

Eventually I got into the habit of speaking a little louder when I'm in (literally) large groups. That's why I don't have to put my feet in uncomfortable high heels to be at eye level, but prefer to wear boots with thick soles in autumn. I like the casual look of the chunky boots. The fact that they add a little more height is a nice side effect.

4. Fall must-have: camel coat

Short women shouldn't wear long coats? I don't think so at all. On the contrary: a midi-length wool coat stretches the figure and flatters us perfectly. I must have five of my fall must-haves and I think a good wool coat is a real asset in the closet.

5. Fall must-have: cropped cardigan

Cropped cardigans are both a modern and well-fitting choice for Fall 2021. They're one of my favorite trends of the season because they just look best on us little girls, don't they? I wear my cardigan over high waist jeans or throw it over a Walle Walle dress.

6. Autumn must-have: boxy transitional jackets

There are many garments in my closet that, if you remove the sleeves, are a piece of square fabric. Means: boxy jackets or tops – I am in! If a jacket ends above the hips, the silhouette of small women looks particularly beautifully proportioned. Luckily the online shops are full of these jackets right now.

7. Fall must-haves: midi dresses

I believe that midi dresses were invented for us little women. The intermediate length is simply ideal for good proportions and a chic look. My go-to styling for autumn: combine dresses with knee-high boots in a riding boot look, this is how a feminine piece meets a cool shoe.
