Contec 2021: New tools, pumps and clothing - racing bike news

Contec is one of the most widespread bicycle component and clothing brands and can also be bought on online trading platforms. The spectrum ranges from brake pads and cycling gear to tools. Contec is presenting some new products for 2021, also for the approaching winter.

Clothing
Suitable for winter shows Contec some new glove models and other pieces that should keep the limbs warm even at low temperatures. All clothing models are from 25.11. accessible.
Frigid TR
The Frigid TR should be able to keep your hands on the handlebars particularly well, even when it's wet, because it has Hi-Pora membrane fabric with a non-slip silicone print. The print on the back is reflective and ensures visibility. Thumb and forefinger are specially coated to operate a touchscreen. The glove comes in the colors black/cool gray and in sizes S (7) – XXL (11). It costs €39.95 (RRP).

The Dense Waterproof is the glove be the choice when it's really cold. Wrist warmers made of neoprene warm the wrist, softshell components on the hand itself. Hi-Pora membrane is designed to prevent moisture from penetrating. The Dense is also available in sizes S-XXL and costs €34.95 (RRP).

Arm / Leg Warmers
The arm and leg warmers are made of DWR material, which is said to be water-repellent so that rain just rolls off. On the inside, Lycra fleece is supposed to provide cozy warmth. Silicone inserts on the top and bottom prevent the garments from slipping. Available in S/M, M/L and L/XL. The leg warmers cost €49.95 (RRP), the arm length €39.95 (RRP).

Contec has been selling brake pads as retrofit kits for brake models from various manufacturers for a long time. In 2021 they will be bringing two more new lines onto the market. These should also offer more power with less wear at the same time.
Alloy+ series
The Alloy+ brake pads should weigh 50% less than the normal Aloy pads. An organic pad compound is said to ensure better braking performance, regardless of the external conditions. The light pads are suitable for brakes made by Sram, Shimano, Magura, Promax and Tektro. The pads are available from specialist retailers for €17.95 (RRP).

Tools
Contec offers tools in different quality levels. Hobby screwdrivers who only rarely need a suitable device will find what they are looking for in the "Tools for Mechanics" series. Workshops and anyone who values high-quality tools will be more likely to find their bike tools in the "Tools for Professionals" series. Contec also has tools for on the go in its range, some mini and multi-tools.

Pump
Air Support Pocket Pro Gauge
The Pro Gauge comes with an in-line pressure gauge in the flexible hose that fits both AV and SV valve ports. A pressure of up to 8.3 bar (120 psi) can be generated with the mini pump. The housing is made of CNC-milled aluminum and can be mounted on the bottle cage. The pump weighs 100 g and is 225 mm long. The RRP is €39.95

The G-Force is for everyone who takes pumping seriously: Thanks to the robust foot clip made of stainless steel, the valve connections for AV/ SV valves and the long, flexible hose, the G-Force is a small floor pump. It weighs 200 g, is 250 mm long and costs €49.95 (RRP)
Air Support Shock Pro
The Air Support is used for mobile readjustment of the air pressure of the spring elements. It delivers up to 300psi of pressure and features a pressure gauge. Weighing only 85 g, it should also be easy to transport in small backpacks. It costs €44.95 (RRP).
